Reincarnation

Is there a soul, does it go to an afterlife or does it migrate to a new existence?

Neither, but, in a sense, both. In the absolute sense nothing exists apart from the divine, the beloved, the ground of all. There is in point of fact no separation due to this truth. This truth is experiential, not doctrinal (though it has been expounded on in all sorts of doctrines).

Yet at the same time, the perception of individuality, of an inner soul or spirit, is deep and profound. We do little justice to deny this perception. In this sense, there is a soul. It is one of the finest treasures we have, even though it is an illusion.

The energy (if you will) that was Cleopatra still exists, it is pre-born and enduring after death, though it was never separate from the infinite ocean. All of us can experience it fully. If you can experience the full existence of another's life, it's not incorrect to speak as having been that person. You may have been Cleopatra, may share her memories' and feel a great connection. Yet, as there is no separation from the divine, this is a completely natural outgrowth of that truth. The divine does not hide from the divine.

Reincarnation is also true, but only in the same sense that incarnation is true.

Not to turn to christian scripture for any proof or justification, but is it not said that you are to become children of god, and is it not also true that Yeshua said "I and my father are one?" The child is one with the father. The father (a limited conception of the divine) is a metaphor for the divine, the infinite ocean. Do you see? Can you hear?
