Allah is in the way.

Allah is in the way of knowing Allah.

The Mystic, while perceived as a man of Allah, must, in a very real sense be an atheist. To experience the divine all thought of Allah must be disempowered. The yearning towards Allah may drive a Mystic, but he must abandon this striving to, paradoxically, have it manifest in Awakening.

Once realized, Allah-the-seperate vanishes, for this was a non-reality from the outset. This is the outcome of the non-dual state, of the union with the divine - the divine vanishes. Or the Mystic vanishes, or the universe vanishes. Nothing vanishes. Its a state of infinite plasticity and flow. Words are an incredibly poor carrier for the experience.

When you reach the height of sexual intercourse with someone, for a brief instant, everything vanishes. You, your lover, everything are a union.

This union is the state of Awakening. The only real difference between it and the daily cloak of the mystic is in the duration and access. The Mystic may abide in this state at all moments, and even when he must attend to something else, a portion of his awareness lives within that sphere. The mystic, also, does not have to strip down with a lover, develop a biologically frictional state to enter the unity. He turns his inner attention to the point within where the illumination resides, and he is there.

For those who have a moralistic bent to their religiosity, and feel that sex is an inappropriate metaphor, do not despair. The act of orgasm is not a metaphor at all, it is an experience of the Illuminated state. The mystic is fully human. That includes sexuality, and I honestly don't know why religious communities have adopted such negative attitudes towards it.
